So far this pretty much describes my Saturday! Before I start, you may have noticed that I took Thursday and Friday as rest days this week. My Wednesday workout made me pretty sore so I just stretched a lot on Thursday. Friday is almost always a rest day for me because I try to do a long run every Saturday.
This morning I woke at 6am and got ready for a special treat! My friends E and J and I met at 7am for a run! We drove to Peninsula, a lovely town a few minutes away and met up with our Church’s running group that meets monthly for a prayer followed by a long group run. Today was only 5 miles but is was 20 degrees out and felt like 4 so I got to try out some new winter layers I bought!
Dick’s Sporting Goods was running some pretty good sales on Reebok so I treated myself to that pink fleece ear wrap that I bought just in time! The blue thin long sleeve shirt is made of some cool tech material that definitely kept me dry this morning. I wore a thin tight tech t-shirt under that.
Lastly, I got this windbreaker on sale that really served me well this morning.
I also stopped by Second Sole, our neighborhood specialty running store to pick up some more goodies. I got some reflective arm bands so my hubby feels more comfortable with me running at night. Then, I got these MAGICAL socks! They are thin wool socks that go over your ankle and are contoured to your feet. They were well worth the money as my feet were toasty the entire run! LOVE THESE SOCKS!
The next items on my list to get me through winter running in Ohio are:
- warmer gloves
- warmer, lined pants…my leggings just aren’t going to hold up to the cold winds for much longer. My hips and thighs felt like ice blocks!
So I woke up Sleepy…then felt Frozen for my 5 mile run with the girls…then I thawed out in a warm bath…
Then I had my first ever Herbal Body Wrap!
and now I’m Sleepy again :)
I’ll return later after a nap (or 2) with a review on the body wrap!

So . . . let's hear about the HERBAL BODY WRAP!!! I love your tree and the lighted wreath. Wish I could see it in person. May be worth an impromptu drive to Ohio! Love ya! Mom
