Recap and Prepare

Tues 5-19: 5k Week2 Day1
Wed 5-20: 10 min cardio and strength circuit; 2 sets 8 reps w/ 8lbs
Thur 5-21: 5K Week2 Day 2
Fri 5-22: 10 min cardio and strength circuit; 2 sets 8 reps w/ 8lbs
Sat 5-23: 5K week Day 1
Sun 5-24: strength circuit; 2 sets 10 reps w/ 8lbs
Mon 5-25 REST and Memorial Day

Very proud of myself and yesterday I committed to doing the 1/2 marathon with Courtney...I plan to register the next time we get paid..so the commitment is sealed!

Today starts training again...will do 5K Week2 Day2 before moving on to Week3
I need to be running 2 miles 3x a week before Middle of June!! :)

Eating Clean - C25K - Smore's and Devo!

I've got alot of stuff going on today...I plan to go to the gym during my lunch break and do wk2 of the 5k running program. My hope is to transition through the first few weeks with only 2 days each rather than the three I did last year.

Would like to do some abs work today as well.

I'm eating clean ALL day today and may treat myself to some cider later tonight but will stear clear of the smore's!

I am following the Couch to 5K Running Plan

There's a GREAT podcast that's available too! This made all the difference!

Week Going Well

Monday was kind of a bust but we both ate very well.

Yesterday I completed Week 2 day 1 of the 5K series I did last summer & today I'll do a light power walk and then the strength circuit and hopefully fit in some serious abwork too.

8:30 PM:
10 min power walk
2x strength circuit with 8lb weights

Back on track...or shall I say pavement!

So I originally set up Wren Life to simply test the blog service. Now I think it's primary benefit is to help me log my progress with Eating Clean and toning up while still being able to journal other thoughts. I was using a service called Fitness Journal but that was a little to robust for what I really needed.

Today is also my 28th birthday which represents a great starting point.

Yesterday, Wednesday Birthday Eve, May 13th 2009
Power walked for about 10 mins using new IPOd Nano
Did toning circuit from June issue of Oxygen magazine
2 sets of the circuit, 12 reps, 6 different excersizes
